Spring Creek Canyon in Fall
10/22/2020: Just like Taylor Creek: BEAUTIFUL! With bonus of fewer people. This is a fairly easy trail and is one of the most beautiful, along with Middle Fork Taylor Creek Trail, that I have hiked in fall. Also, there are far fewer people on this trail. There is a pretty slot Canyon. Go as far as you want or until the trail finally peters out. NOTE - The trail map is approximate. Just follow the main trail from the trailhead and you will be fine.
Marg’s Notes: To Spring Creek Canyon – North of Zion, UT. We left the hotel ~6:30 am. It was pretty chilly! A woman we talked to on our hike yesterday told us about this hike. It was beautiful! We hiked along the creek, crossing it many times. It was a beautiful fall day. In the 40’s when we started. We wore our warm jackets again. Some of the hike as we got in further was in a dry creek bed. Rod took lots of beautiful pictures. We went in 3¼ miles. About ½ way in we were in slot canyons. Beautiful red rocks. Towards the end we were scrambling over bit rocks. Came back to rest & start packing ☹. Very few people on this hike. Had lunch @ visitor’s Center.
